This large and deep, Antique woven Rattan basket with a wood handle seemed the perfect candidate for this arrangement. When I purchased this piece many decades ago, I noticed that the strands are woven in circular motion, and are lightly stained giving the basket a “weathered”. I filled with a variety of greens, Amaranthus spray, soft lilac, and hints of purple, surrounded by soft green tulips and magnolias. It’s packed with an abundance that is reminiscent of an afternoon of flower picking in an English “Victorian garden”!
